Effortless

How beautiful are these simple customized rings? (click on each ring to purchase)

These rings are so simple yet so stunning! Add a couple of the same style to one finger or hand and it looks very effortless... Tip: If you are buying cheaper rings (nothing wrong with this!) in order to keep them from making your finger turn green, put some clear nail polish all over the ring - inside and outside. This usually works!

If you are going to try this look, make sure their not all chunky rings - go with 3 or 4 really simply skinny gold or silver like some of these! (maybe even some simple diamonds!)

How to: Bleach Ombre Jean Shorts

These shorts are my newest DIY! (I made them exactly the same way I made this shirt) These shorts only took me about 45min and I saved about $80! Here is how!!

1. I went to Value Village and found a pair of jeans for $5.99 (When you're buying the jeans, don't worry about how ugly they look - just worry about the fit around the butt and hips)

2. Put the jeans on and cut to desired length. If you are wanting to fray or fold them, remember to cut them a bit longer. Also, this is the time for you to cut some holes or fray the shorts if you want! ALSO cut the back of the shorts a tab bit longer - so your behind doesn't fall out!

3. Grab a bucket, bleach, gloves. Pour some bleach into the bucket, and dip shorts in till your satisfied with the bleaching line. Tip: bleach spreads, so again don't dip your shorts in fully - it will spread up.

4. Leave shorts in for roughly 30min. Keep checking to make sure it is the color you are wanting. DON'T leave shorts in for longer - the bleach can turn yellow and the shorts can become too weak and rip.

BAM!! It's as simple as that! Remember,  you only get one chance with bleach! If you need, do a test run on another pair of jeans.

Top: Asos - $15 (click here! they just re-stocked)

How To: Bleach Ombre a Shirt

DIY time! I'm going to show you how to get this bleach ombre'd look on a collared shirt! You are going to need: Bleach, gloves, a bucket, tshirt/blouse and about an hour of your time.

First off, do this either outside or in your bathtub since you're playing with bleach.

Before
I found this shirt that I bought a couple years ago, loved the color and the crinkled linen! I totally forgot about this shirt - so I thought why not bring some life to it.

1. Pour a couple glugs of bleach into your bucket.
2. Then place the bottom/top of the shirt into the bleach. (I bleached the top of the shirt) Tip: Tie a  plastic bag around the bottom/top of the material that you want to protect from the bleach. Keep the rest of the shirt out of the way so no bleach reaches parts covered by the plastic.
3. Keep an eye on the colour - I left mine for about 30min in total. This all depends on the material that you are trying to bleach. The more you leave it on, the more fragile the material will be. Therefore will rip easier and tear.

Keep checking to see how well the bleach is taking. Reminder... this is bleach, so you only get one chance to make it the way you want it.

Voila! These shirts are going for aorund $100 in stores and there is just no way! This whole shirt cost me $12 and you get to say you did it yourself! Theres nothing better.

If you want yours to look a bit messier like I wanted mine, keep moving the shirt in the bleach. A straight line across wouldn't look cute - so try and make it a bit blotchy. Also bleach spreads on a shirt, so place the shirt a bit above where your desired line is.
